Your premium is based on the size of your coffee farm, the value of your crop, and the risks during key growing seasons: excess rain during flowering and harvesting, and drought during the growing stage.
PAY YOUR PREMIUM
The insurer will issue you a quote and provide you with payment options. Once payment is made the policy contract will be sent to you electronically, or by post if you choose. It will state the agreed threshold triggers that will result automatic claims payouts.
SATELLITE DATA AUTOMATICALLY TRIGGERS CLAIMS
Our technology monitors weather conditions using satellite-based datasets, including rainfall and drought patterns.
- During the flowering season, if the number of rainy days exceeds the accepted threshold, a claim is automatically activated.
- During the growing season, if the cumulative rainfall in the selected location falls below the predetermined threshold, the system will trigger a claim.
- During the harvest season, if the number of rainy days exceeds the accepted threshold during this period, a claim will be triggered.
GET PAID IN WITHIN 30 DAYS
Claims are calculated for each season. If a claim is triggered, a payment will be made to you typically within 30 days. No need to make a claim, the automated system does it for you.
